We’re a family-run coffee roastery based in Margaret River, Western Australia, a region known for its natural beauty, community spirit and appreciation for high quality, local produce. These values are at the heart of everything we do. We started Resident with a clear goal: to roast coffee that makes you feel right at home. Coffee that’s made to be brewed in your kitchen, shared around the breakfast table, or sipped slowly as the day unfolds.

We love our local community here in Margaret River and we’re passionate about sharing it with people all across Australia. Every bag of our carries a little of the region with it, its laid-back rhythm, its connection to nature and its sense of place. We want every cup to feel like a small, daily ritual that brings you back to what matters.

Make yourself at home 

We focus on coffee designed to be brewed and enjoyed at home. Our roasting style highlights the best of each brewing method, from fruity and light, to syrupy and smooth. So whether you’re perfecting your pour over, making a moka pot, or dropping a double espresso before work, you’ll be able to get the most out of your brew.

We believe great coffee doesn’t need to be complicated. It just needs to be fresh, thoughtfully sourced and roasted with care. That’s why we roast in small batches, source ethically and focus on flavour profiles that make everyday brewing something to look forward to.

Brew good, do good

We care deeply about how our coffee is grown, how it travels and how it ends up in your cup. We work with importers who support sustainable and transparent supply chains, ensuring the producers behind the beans are treated fairly and paid well. Closer to home, we’re always looking for ways to reduce waste, lower our footprint and support local charities and causes, most recently donating all profits made from our Grounds for Change blend to homeless charity, Just Home, and our Totally Titillating blend to Breast Cancer Care WA.

Beyond sustainability in the environmental sense, we’re also about creating lasting connections between people, place and the things we consume every day. Whether it's dropping off beans to Marmalade in Witchcliffe, catching up with customers at the Margaret River Farmers' Market, or chatting over email with someone brewing our coffee in another state, it’s all part of what makes this meaningful (and fun) for us.
